“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle!”
She opened the door at 7.30 in the morning and found three squirrels, two pigeons and five sparrows running and flying away as if she had invaded their private time in their world. She smiled and walked under the clear sky.
Three ducks, two rabbits and five parrots ran and flew away as if she had invaded their private time in the world. She smiled and walked under the clear sky. Although she had never noticed such clear, blue skies until now. She was amazed!! The color of the sky was actually so blue as if she was looking at a picture of the sky in her textbook. She found it difficult to believe it to be true. She started questioning the nature as if it was just a blue, ironed cloth stretched and placed above her. So plain, so straight, so colored! She kept her eyes up on the sky to find at least a single cloud.
The voices of the children passing by backtracked her into her courtyard. It wasn’t a Déjà Vu, she knew. There were times that she would get so lost in the woods that it was difficult to find herself in the center of the concrete jungle. But she knew herself better now,
Or at least she thought she did…
She continued exploring herself, She began to practice dance forms. She took up a job.
She danced with a group of girls regularly. But there was something about this one girl. Her dance was flawless, and so was her smile. She always spread positive vibes in the room. She was highly inspired by the way that, one, girl synchronized herself so well with the music as if her body was creating the tune and the beats while she moved.
She adored the Dancing Girl. Her life was revolving around her work and dance. She would get too involved in herself at work to notice anything else, and lose everything, including herself, in the presence of the Dancing girl.
She would coordinate her dance flow to the Dancing girl’s motions. Mirrors in the class room were to look at selves and practice, but she couldn’t take her eyes off the Dancing girl. There was no much time in her life for socialization. And it was really long that she had been with people who loved her, or she loved anyone back.
Her heart beats harmonized to the distance of the Dancing girl. The nearer she was, the faster her heart rate would be. She had never felt so affection and inspiration ever before. Never for her parents, not for any of her boyfriends over the years, neither for her best friends, nor for herself. The Dancing girl was always the spot light in the room.
She couldn’t understand the connect between the two of them. “She is so graceful, I am sure everyone loves to watch her dance, all the time.” She tried convincing herself. The thoughts and feelings assembled in her head. She could have let the things be as they were, but she hadn’t learned that lately…
